"At some point after 1988 someone, somewhere was playing Super Mario Bros. 2 and thought “One day I’m gonna fuck Birdo.” Well it seems that that day came to pass." -ectoplasmosis
So, in case you hadn't noticed the new livejournal icon I got a new camera. Shebam! So I decided to test it out on my friend Merry, and her dancing troupe. And by that I mean taking pictures at her dance rehearsal for her senior project. Some I like more then others but I figured I'd post some of what I was working with, because I thrive on feedback. Me loves it, I can't live without it.
Oh and because some of this should be said publicly for those not aware.
Sarah and I broke up in November. I'm fine, so is she. It was for the best. And we would have been dating for four years as of February. I chose to tell most people individually while I worked through some things, which is why I haven't said anything sooner. And that is all I am going to say about it publicly. If you want more details you can contact me privately.
Without further ado, here is what I've been working on.
1. Go to http://www.careercruising.com/ 2. Put in Username: nycareers and Password: landmark. 3. Take their "Career Matchmaker" questions. 4. Punch yourself in the balls. Post your entire list to a weblog to seek validation for questionable lifestyle choices.
Really first 10 or so are actually kind of surprising. I like fixing things but I've never really extensively worked on cars, and I hate being dirty. However anything dealing with tv/movie production is really not terribly surprising. I <3 TV.

So while reading the new update to Penny Arcade, I found this:
I thought it looked cute, and really I needed a new background anyway so I figured what the hell and clicked on the links to the larger wallpapers. Then I found this:
So first time I've had a chance to sleep in, in a long time cause I've been moved to the six-thirty am shift at work. And I am awoken to the sounds of hammers right out side my bedroom walls as my landlord works on our walk way or something. I really really really want to kill them.
Now that my rage has some what subsided I realized I haven't actually made a post in well forever.
So for those not in the know I moved stores a couple of weeks ago to the Broadway starbucks. For those keeping store I was working at the Olive Way starbucks for a year. Which means I've moved a grand total of 0.4 miles. I am still a barista but they keep saying that I'm going to be promoted "soon."
Sarah is now working at Microsoft doing tech support for Server. Apparently she works on the backend of Hotmail/MSN Live/Passport or something she's still figuring it all out. She just started this week, and I'm really proud of her for getting the job.
Besides work I've taken up a new hobby of studying Karate, more specifically Kyokushin. Which if your going to studying a style of Karate this is apparently the most hard core as it's noted for being the few "full contact" karate. Meaning I actually hit people. Hard. Mind you they hit me hard too, but that's part of the training. For those curious I've only been doing it since March and am only a white belt. But I am training for my belt testing in August which I will probably achieve my blue belt. Considering my dojo doesn't use Orange (it's confusing why but it does make sense) when I achieve my yellow belt, which will be sometime in 2008 during the next belt test I will have gone as high as I had previously in my taekwondo class in about a year as compared to the two years it took me to get to that point. If I still have the drive at that point to continue my studies in the martial way I will probably sign up for an Akido class to help round out my fighting style. Kyokushin doesn't really teach how to grapple or throw people or even more important how to really not hurt your opponent.
Lots of stuff that I don't want to write down in my journal publically. But life doesn't have to many ailments so life overall has been alright.
